The Dead Feminists series is a collaboration between Chandler O'Leary and Jessica Spring, featuring quotes by historical feminists tied in with current political and social issues.

Each of the 30 broadsides released since the series began in 2008 is letterpress printed from hand-drawn lettering and illustrations. A portion of the proceeds of each piece is donated to a cause that aligns with the issue highlighted by the artwork. Their first book, Dead Feminists: Historic Heroines in Living Color, was published by Sasquatch Books in 2016 and won a Pacific Northwest Book Award.

Jessica Spring is the proprietor of Springtide Press, where she designs, prints and binds unique artist books, broadsides and emphemera, incorporating handmade paper and letterpress printing. Small finely-crafted editions consider historical topics and popular culture from a unique perspective. Jessica has a MFA from Columbia College Chicago and teaches book arts at Pacific Lutheran University.

Chandler O'Leary is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. She is the proprietor of Anagram Press, specializing in hand lettering and illustration. She is the author and artist of the illustrated travel blog Drawn the Road Again, and her second book, The Best Coast: A Road Trip Atlas, was published by Sasquatch Books in 2019.
